Full HEALTHCARE Member Full Membership in the Association is available to individuals who are actively employed in or by healthcare related facilities (those that provide patient care) located in North Carolina, and who have responsibility in healthcare facility operations (i.e. facilities management, plant engineering, design/construction, security, safety/fire safety, clinical engineering, and telecommunications). Full Members may vote, hold office, and serve on committees.
Associate Member Associate Membership in the Association is available to individuals or representatives that provide professional, technical, and consulting services or sell products or services to Full Members, but whose employers are not healthcare providers (those that do not provide patient care). Qualifying members include, but are not limited to, planners, consultants, architects, interior designers, consulting engineers, manufacturers, vendors, and sellers of contracted services. Retired individuals from healthcare facilities are eligible for Associate Membership. Associate Membership in the Association is also available to individuals (Risk Management, Infection Control, Accreditation, etc.) who are actively employed in or by healthcare related facilities (those that provide patient care) located in North Carolina, and who do not meet the requirements for Full Membership. Associate Members may not hold office, vote, or serve on committees.
Retired Member Full members in good standing with 5 years or more of full membership, who are fully retiring from the field of heathcare facility management and if not working full or part time in a healthcare facility function including administrative support or consulting may after retirement be eligible for a nontransferable lifetime retired membership status with no future membership dues. Registration costs for Spring Seminars and Annual Conferences will be waived for Retired Members. Request for this type membership status must be submitted in writing to the Board of Directors, through the Association President. Retired members may vote and serve on committees.
Student Member Student Membership shall be available to full-time college students taking course work related to any discipline represented by the Association. Student members may not hold office, vote, or serve on committees.
